From The PSUPedia
|This article pertains to an item, mission or other feature which is exclusive to the Japanese PC version of Phantasy Star Universe.|
AOTI update 3rd (「イルミナスの野望」アップデート3rd) is an upcoming major update for the Japanese PC servers scheduled to begin implementation at the end of April of 2011. Details pertaining to a release on the Xbox 360 servers have not been announced yet. As with update 2nd before it, this is a continuation of GUARDIANS Advanced Content which will add even more new features and depth to the world of Phantasy Star Universe.
Many brand new areas previously introduced by Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity will be added over time. Look forward to new fields such as the seabed RELICS, Mt. Elbars, Crodog Jungle, Ohtori Castle and Clad 0! Of course, many new missions will be created to utilize these areas to their full extent.
New photon arts
New photon arts, previously exclusive to Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Infinity will be added, expanding your selection of special attacks beyond its current boundaries! Look forward to new skills such as Blade Destruction and Dus Skadd, and new TECHNICs like Sazonde!
New SUV weapons
As with the previous major updates, hundreds of new weapons, clothes and parts will be added over time. Expand your arsenal with weapons such as Axeon, Steel Hearts, Biwa-hoshi and Red Scorpio! And fill your closets with new costumes such as Angel Perfume, Kamui Fubi, Bil De Bonez and Eternal Form!
End of PS2 services
The following information applies only to the Japanese PS2 version of the game.
Since the initiation of GUARDIANS Advanced Content, PS2 users have not been able to enjoy the full extent of many updates due to the inability of the system to handle large content patches. As a result, all brand new weapons, clothes and parts added to the game since have appeared to PS2 users as generic models. Considering the scale of this third major GAC update, SonicTeam have decided to end online services for the PS2 version of Ambition of the Illuminus, as many new features would be impossible to implement otherwise. The last day of service for the PS2 servers will be April 14, 2011.
- ↑ PS2 online services originally were scheduled to end on March 31, 2011, however due to service delays caused by the massive earthquake which struck Japan on March 11, PS2 online service closure was extended by two weeks.
