Hey You.

Since you can still access the forum, could you do me a favor and set it to force the default style again? I already posted in Raffon, but I know I ignore stuff there sometimes, so figured I'd go directly here too. Whatever style I have must be broken because all I get is a blank page when I log in. :< Also, I managed to download all the files last night using just a plain old download, but it took forever, because it kept slowing to like 30 kbps for extended periods of time. --Qwerty 16:28, 12 December 2008 (CST)

  • Which one is the default? I use Phoenix Blue and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong to me. - Mewn 16:46, 12 December 2008 (CST)
  • Oh dear, I seem to have messed up the forum. Whoops, I'll get Hitomi to fix it when I next see him >_> - Mewn 17:03, 12 December 2008 (CST)
    • Ok, well, the reason I wanted it up was to get help for setting up the JP account and stuff, since I may do that tonight/this weekend. I can always check around at PSOW in the mean time, so it's no big deal. --Qwerty 18:34, 12 December 2008 (CST)

Megid

So, Mewn, would you happen to know if this was a mistake or not? http://psupedia.info/Talk:TECHNICs#Megid--_respond_if_you_can Thanks in advance. =) --Amaury 12:56, 13 June 2008 (CDT)

Hi

from our talk on irc , Im Nat

The 14 star armors from AOI Perfect Bible

フェリルライン

フェリセンバ

ラボル。フェリル

Any Clue on their localization? My guesses were Feril lol Thought i'll help work on the armor page since its been alittle quiet in that department :P

Regards Nat (sorry new to user talk pages... let me know if im doing wrong lol) (ひみつ 07:45, 8 February 2008 (CST)).

  • I'd guess Feril Line, Feri-senba and Rabol Feril as well. We won't find out the proper names until they're released on US (which could take a while) so we might as well go with these for now. If you add them, just put them in parantheses so we can see that they're just tentative translations and not the official ones. - Mewn 07:55, 8 February 2008 (CST)
    • Agreed; that's how I translated them, too, when I added them to this article. - EspioKaos 08:28, 8 February 2008 (CST)

Hey Mewn

You missed one of the spammers: http://psupedia.info/Special:Contributions/OloroLetor

I just reverted his edits on Consumable Items. Don't forget to block him. =) Spammers are a huge annoyence, eh? =( Amaury 13:50, 27 January 2008 (CST)

  • I blocked him along with all the other spambots, but thanks for reverting the edit he made, seems I missed that. - Mewn 13:55, 27 January 2008 (CST)
  • You're welcome. =) Amaury 13:59, 27 January 2008 (CST)

Localized enemy and item names

  • Since you've confirmed that the enemy names given in the [drop templates] page are from the game data, thus official localizations, I was wondering if there was any more stuff to add? Boss names, for example, are missing from the list. Also, what about item, weapon and line shield names? Were you able to find any of the files that contained that data? - EspioKaos 09:16, 7 December 2007 (CST)
  • Zephyr gave them to me, there's only one/two monsters I haven't added, because I have two names, but I'm not sure if it's a single name or not (Bafal Bragga is the name, I believe that's one single monster, but it could be two called Bafal and Bragga). As for bosses, the following are the AoI bosses: De Rol Le, Alterazgohg, Mother Brain, Dark Falz (listed three times, presumably there are three forms like PSO). As for weapon, item, and line shield names, Zeph has only been able to get the offline data, and I'm not sure we can get the online names yet. There's not that much more to add from the offline data we have. - Mewn 10:44, 7 December 2007 (CST)
    • Ah, cool. Thanks! (Nice surprise there with the hidden one, too.) - EspioKaos 11:00, 7 December 2007 (CST)

The PSUPedia:Manual of style

  • just wondering since your a Op if you would know why the last part of that page the S stars have the color of the S2 boxs and vesa versa. - KyTin 17:07, 1 November 2007 (CDT)
  • If you're referring to the star templates right at the bottom, I would say it's for clarity, since the bright yellow stars don't show up particularly well against a white background. I've been looking into the possibility of changing it by using images from the game itself, which would probably show up better. - Mewn 17:10, 1 November 2007 (CDT)
  • Yeah i was reffering to Star-C.gifStar-C.gifStar-C.gifStar-B.gifStar-B.gifStar-B.gifStar-A.gifStar-A.gifStar-A.gifStar-S.gifStar-S.gifStar-S.gifStar-S2.gifStar-S2.gifStar-S2.gif its just a bit confusing seeing gold box and yellow stars lol. - KyTin 17:16, 1 November 2007 (CDT)

Templates

  • Mewn, is there a User: section for templates i wanted to make some but would rather not have them in the main section as people might not see the point of some of them and remove them. -- KyTin 22:15, 5 November 2007 (CST)
    • I'm not Mewn, but I'm a SysOp so I'll go out on a limb and give you this response: For user pages, a few templates have been made (namely Character profile). Unless it's a template that will be useful in more than a handful of pages, I'd suggest simply making the template by hand and editing it by hand. However, my vote is only one vote, so other SysOps may have something else to say on the matter. --Beatrixkiddo 22:19, 5 November 2007 (CST)
      • Well what i was thinking was a template that would server 2 purposes, Marking things as 360 server feature and PC/PS2 server feature. As well as marking User Pages as 360 server user and PS2/PC server user. -- KyTin 22:22, 5 November 2007 (CST)
      • Sort of like -- KyTin 22:23, 5 November 2007 (CST)
  • I think that is really unnecessary and silly, to be honest. There really are currently no articles that are Xblock only or PC/PS2 only, nor do I forsee any in the future. Besides, I can't help but worry that it would lead to asinine console debates. --Qwerty 00:54, 6 November 2007 (CST)
    • Some changes just don't happen at the same times, example when did the pc/ps2 server have deaths stop making you lose S rank score on missions or did they ever. Demo events are only on the 360 server and would be usful when posting up coming demo events. It is however true that I was mostly thinking of it as a thing for people to put on user pages, as I'm always wondering if anyone on here is on the 360 server besides me. -- KyTin 03:45, 6 November 2007 (CST)
    • Eh, there's a case for infobox templates for use on user pages à la Wikipedia, so I wouldn't specifically mind if someone developed those as templates for user pages, but since that's not a priority for me I won't do anything except say 'Go for it' and offer help on creating the templates should it be asked for. We rarely actually do articles on things that have proven to be different between 360 and PC. But often the platforms these changes affect are clearly marked in patch notes on the official site, or it becomes apparent and spreads through the community quickly. As for Demo weekends, a 360-only box is perhaps superfluous. PC/PS2 users do not have a Demo version or a Demo server, hence it is plainly obvious that only 360 will have the Demo weekends. We don't even have any articles on Demo weekends, sadly, this is a case of too much stuff to do and too little time. I feel that if it becomes necessary to list the differences between 360 and PC/PS2, a single article should suffice for that, and that would not need any kind of templates. - Mewn 11:38, 6 November 2007 (CST)

Reply

Huh? Oh, sorry. I was just trying to save a little space. Sorry though. =(

  • If someone leaves a comment on your talk page, you should reply to it on your own talk page as opposed to leaving a message on somebody else's talk page. This makes the discussion on talk pages a lot easier to follow, and several people are getting annoyed at what they consider spam on their own usertalk pages. Oh, and use ~~~~ to sign your comments, please. - Mewn 13:37, 31 December 2007 (CST)

Sandbox

I was going through some stuff here and noticed that your sandbox had a bad category listed. Then I noticed that the template stuff on that page seems to be outdated. It's also rather odd that the talk page for it redirects to another one of your articles. Anyway, just thought I'd bring it up. S-T-H 01:28, 13 July 2008 (CDT)

  • Deleted. That was old stuff I did to try and explain how to make weapons pages and the like. Not sure why I put the category in, but hey. As for the talk page, it redirected because I moved my sandbox to the C-A rank drop article and it must have made the talk page for the sandbox a redirect. - Mewn 05:43, 13 July 2008 (CDT)
  • Alright, great. S-T-H 05:47, 13 July 2008 (CDT)

You, Espio, and STH (PSP)

You guys work very hard everyday on this wiki. I want to thank you for all the effort you put in. I know it's a hassle doing the same thing for a long time (i.e. upload wpn pic, new mission page, items, blah), especially since none of you have PS:P. I'm trying hard to do my part too. Here'a to having this piece of work done before the real deal hits the coast. :D -DawgPilez 11:49, 7 November 2008 (CST)

  • I do actually have PSP, although I don't play it that much as I'm often a bit busy with uni (and I play other stuff too). But, yeah, I'm not good with people thanking me, so I guess thanks for the thanks. I've noticed you've done a quite a bit as well so I guess you're as deserving as I am. On another note, I am hoping to have the PSP section about 90% completed at least by the time the US version is released, but we've got plenty of time to do that yet. - Mewn 12:24, 7 November 2008 (CST)
    • Mewn is blushing =P. We should play on-kai sometime. -DawgPilez 16:01, 8 November 2008 (CST)
    • Don't have Kai (tried it, couldn't get it to work at home and the connection I have at uni blocks online gaming) so that's not happening for a while I'm afraid. - Mewn 16:37, 8 November 2008 (CST)
  • Yeah, everything you've done is great and much appreciated. I plan on picking up the localized version of PSP when it's released next year (provided I have the system by that time). Then I'll probably work on clean-up duty, just confirming localized names, descriptions, etc. Until then, I'm happy throwing in description translations for some of the items. - EspioKaos 13:09, 7 November 2008 (CST)
  • As with EspioKaos, I don't have a copy of PSP yet (but probably will have one when the local version hits). Mewn has been doing quite a bit to pull things together, so I wouldn't want to do much to mess things up. If I did have some time and it was necessary, I'd probably just do a little bit of organizing. It's not that apparent though since this section is starting off pretty much fully baked. Besides, there's still some more work to do on the main section before I'd want to decide whether or not to be a bother there. Kudos though to everyone working on the PSP stuff. PSUP is so well done as it is for that side that it's going to look absolutely awesome in comparison to anything else by time the game comes out. S-T-H 00:08, 8 November 2008 (CST)

  • Hey what if I were to get permission? Would I then be able to post them back or nooo?
